15 Year Old All-Star Game Summaries

Game 2- Thurs. 7/20

Westbrook defeated Windham 7-2. Zachary Russell pitched extremely well in the complete game. He also led the offense with 2 hits. Tyler Rand also had 2 hits, including an RBI Double in Westbrook's three run 6th inning.
Tyler Kelly also had an RBI Double in the 3rd inning. Patrick Webber had a great defensive game, including a great throw in the 7th inning, to get the lead-off runne,r on an attempted steal of 2nd. All in all, a great team win.

Westbrook's next game is Saturday, July 22nd @ 10 am against Gorham at Haverty Field in Portland. If they win, they will play again 30 minutes following the completion of their first game.

Game 1 - Mon. 7/17

We lost a close game against Gorham 2-0. Adam Slivinsky pitched 5 strong innings and Michael Anthony pitched the last 2 innings, without giving up a run. Westbrook made a superb 1-6-3 double play, to end the 3rd inning and Tyler Kelly made an excellent throw, to Patrick Webber, throwing out a runner at the plate, to end the 5th inning. Three Gorham pitchers pitched well in their shutout win.
