Rand 2007 Game Summaries
Fri. 6/29 D&R 15 Shaw Bros. 3
D&R unleashed its offensive power in a convincing 15-3
win over Shaw Bros.
Kevin L'Heureux had 2 hits and scored 3 runs in the win. Todd
Hood, Egor Mossalev and Trevor Bates also chipped in with
2 hits each. Cody Payer led off the 5th inning with a line
drive single and scored later in the inning. Zackery Johnson
made his first career start and pitched masterfully, allowing
3 hits and only 1 run. Egor Mossalev made his first relief
appearance picking up his first career save. It was a great
team effort.
Thurs. 6/28 D&R 5 HB 2
D&R broke out of a 2 game losing streak with an impressive
5-2 win over 1st place Harmon's Barton's. Jake Gardiner started
for D&R and gutted out 3 tough innings only allowing no
hits and no earned runs. His brother, Zack Gardiner, pitched
the final 4 innings shutting out HB and picking up 6 strikeouts
along the way. Zack also led the way offensively with a double
and triple, scoring 2 runs. Josh Wood had a clutch RBI single
and Zackery Johnson followed with an RBI in D&R's 3 run
6th inning.
6/27 D&R v Pettis 10-8 (Pettis) @ WHS
Pettis used a team effort to rally and score
5 runs in the top of the 7th to defeat D & R 10-8. Matt
Weimer had 3 hits and 3 RBIs for Pettis.
Monday, 6/25 D&R 7 Phoenix Welding

D&R won a squeaker over a strong PW squad. Once again
the D&R Blue fought back from a 3-1 deficit and claimed
their 4th win in their last 5 games. Tommy Lemay was the pitching
star by entering the game with the bases loaded and only 1
out in the 6th inning. He got the next 2 batters out allowing
D&R to cling to their slim 7-6 lead. He then pitched a
1-2-3 7th inning, needing to throw only 3 pitches for the
inning. The offensive star was Terry Webber, who had a bases
clearing triple in the 3rd inning. Zack Johnson also had an
RBI single in the win. It was a great team win for the D&R
Blue. D&R's record improved to 8-3 overall, 6-3 in-league.
Sunday, 6/24 D&R 11 Sappi 5
Trevor Bates went 3 for 3, had 4 RBIs and scored 4 runs in
D&R's convincing 11-5 win. D&R again fought back from
an early 4 run deficit. Todd Hood stepped up and pitched a
crucial inning for the D&R Blue. Zack Gardiner came in
in the 5th inning and pitched 3 scoreless innings with 5 stikeouts.
Fri. 6/22 D&R 6 PW 4
D&R fell behind early, but fought back with 5 runs in
the 6th inning and held on for a crucial 6-4 win. Zack Gardiner
and Tommy Lemay had key hits in the 6th inning, but the biggest
hit came from Jake Gardiner, who had a towering 3 RBI double.
Josh Wood pitched 3 key innings in the win and Zack Gardiner
shut the door with 3 strong innings, including 5 strikeouts.
Todd Hood also had a nice hit in the 6th inning. D&R's
overall record is 6-3 and its in-league record is 4 Wins,
3 Losses.
6/20 Pettis v. D&R 7-5 (Pettis)
@ Warren
In a close game, Pettis defeated D & R 7-5.
Pettis was led by Zach COllett who was 4 for 4 and pitched
3 scorless innings in relief. Kevin Moody drove in 3 runs
and Reid COloumbe had a big 2 out hit.
Mon. 6/18 D&R 6 Harmon's Barton's

D&R defeated HB in a hard fought game that was closer
than the final score indicated. The game was tied at 1 after
4 innings, but D&R was able to score 2 runs in the 5th
inning and 3 more in the 7th inning. Offensively, Jake Gardiner
had 2 hits and Zach Johnson had an rbi single in the 7th.
Kevin L'Heureux also contributed with a line drive single
in his only at bat. Jake Gardiner started the game on the
mound and pitched 3 solid innings. Tommy Lemay and Zack Gardiner
pitched well in relief.
6/15 PW v D&R 5-2 (PW) @ Warren
Phoenix Welding's Joey Royer pitched 6 strong innings only
allowing 1 run. D&R was unable to generate any meaningful
offense and made some key errors that contributed to 2 of
PW's runs. Tommy Lemay pitched well in the loss, allowing
only 5 hits.
6/14 D&R v Pettis 10-5 (D&R)
@ WHS
The D&R blue were led by Zack Gardiner who had 3 hits
and Dan Roukey who had
2 hits and scored 3 runs. Zack Gardiner also pitched 2 2/3
innings of scoreless relief. D&R upped their overall record
to 4-1. They will be facing a tough Phoenix Welding squad
on 6/15 at WHS.
6/13 D&R v Moody's 14-6 (D&R)
@ Warren
We won 14-6. Game Summary: D&R took charge early and
won convincingly in a darkness shortened 6 inning game. Josh
Wood pitched well in his first career start and Zachery Johnson
had a double to right center that scored 2 runs. Trevor Bates
pitched 2 innings of scoreless relief.
Desmond & Rand 6 Sappi 5 6/9 @ Warren
Field
D&R pulled out a sqeaker in a well fought battle that
went 9 innings. Tommy Lemay won his first career start and
Zack Gardiner re-entered the game as a pitcher to get the
save in the 9th inning . The winning run was knodked in by
Dan Roukey's hard line drive single in the top of the 9th.
It was a well-played game on both sides.
Desmond & Rand 4 Harmon's Barton's
9 6/8 @ Warren field
Harmon's Barton's outplayed the D&R blue on a chilly evening
at Warren Field and came away with a convincing 9-4 win. Keegan
Goan was HB"s star of the game as a result of his towering
3 run homer in the 2nd inning that hit the top of the scoreboard.
Todd Hood was the starting pitcher for D&R and he worked
hard in his first career start. D&R will be back in action
on Sat. against Sappi.
Desmond & Rand v. Coastal (Gorham)
5/31 @ Warren Field
Score: D&R 12 Coastal 5
D&R started out strong scoring 3 runs in the 1st inning,
which included hits by Tommy Lemay and Jake Gardiner. Zack
Gardiner pitched three (3) scoreless innings allowing no hits
with 6 strikeouts. Cody Payeur contributed offensively with
2 RBI's.
