Phoenix Welding 2011 Game Summaries

5/22:  Phoenix Welding beat Time Warner Cable 13-2. Zack Bean won his first start of the season with a commanding pitching performance. Brett Goodnow lead the offensive charge going 3 for 4 with 5 RBI's

6/5 Colin Joyce and Alec Hazelwood combined their efforts for an outstanding pitching performance and the bats came alive in the 5th and 6th inning scoring 9 unanswered runs to take the wind out of Portland's sails.

6/8  Phoenix Welding squeaked out a 3 to 2 victory against Yankee Ford,  despite numerous errors on the base paths by PW. They were lead to a win by  a gutsy complete game pitching performance by Alec Hazelwood. Despite Yankee Ford getting runners to third twice in the late innings, they were left stranded or picked off by Alec to preserve the win.
